DRBD

DRBD is a powerfull system for network mirroring of hard drives. This software can be really helpfull when you need to create a cluster and you of course need to have a shared storage devices but you do not have enough money to buy it or enough hardware with a good performance to share across NFS or iSCSI some space with your cluster.

DRBD can handle a same partition on both system and continuosly mirror it across your server. Also DRBD support active/active cluster configuration making more efficient your high availability system.

Packages are built direcly against RedHat Enterprise 4. For kernel module remember to move drbd.ko into your correct device module and run depmod -a before load the module.
